Shipping policy

Every Timber and Nail piece is finished to order in our East Tennessee workshop, then shipped to you. We deliver to all 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C.

Lead time

Current lead time is 8 to 12 weeks from order to shipment, plus delivery transit time. We confirm your order details within one business day, keep you updated while your piece is finished, and contact you to coordinate delivery once it is ready to ship.

How your piece ships

Large pieces ship by furniture freight, not parcel carriers. Your piece arrives carefully boxed in major components with all hardware and step-by-step instructions. Assembly is straightforward with basic household tools.

Your finish is complete before it ships. Your chosen stain or paint is hand-applied and fully cured in our workshop. There is no staining or painting left for you to do.

Delivery cost

Free. On every piece, to every address we serve.

Freight is built into the price you see on the product page. Nothing is added at checkout, and the rate does not change based on how far you are from Tennessee. The number on the product page is the number you pay, plus applicable sales tax.

We currently deliver to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Delivery day

Furniture freight is not a standard parcel delivery. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window, and someone over the age of 18 must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.

Before you sign, inspect the packaging. If you see any damage, note it on the delivery receipt before signing, photograph it, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. This protects your coverage, and we will make it right with a repair or replacement at no cost to you. See our Refund Policy for full details on damage and defects.

Delays

All delivery times are estimates. We work hard to hit our stated lead time, but we are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or events outside our control.
